The Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks are in action tonight, and we have a couple of ways to go Full Caesar!

Chicago Bulls vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Bulls are -6 point favorites at Caesars tonight when they travel to Charlotte for a matchup with the Hornets. We are looking at playing Hornets Under 234.5 -110.

Thursday’s total is too high for this game–Chicago has won three straight at home and has the 5th best defensive rating over their last five. The Bulls aren’t a good away side, and the Hornets are equally bad at Spectrum Center.

The edge in this game is the Bulls’ defense–they are 5th in defensive efficiency over their past five and face a Charlotte offense ranked 26th in efficiency during their previous five matchups. Chicago also appears to be healthy, while Charlotte has key offensive players LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward listed as questionable. The Hornets’ have dropped five straight at home, the offense has no flow without Ball running the show, and this game ends Under the oddsmakers total.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Calgary Flames

Chicago is a huge underdog when they meet the Flames tonight in Calgary. The total is 6.0 goals, but the best bet for this game is Calgary 1P PL -.5 +100.
Calgary should win this game, but -400 is too much juice to pay for a pre-game NHL bet. The Flames are 8-6-10 on the 1P moneyline, and since we’re laying under a goal, the ML stats work well here.

The edge for this bet is Blackhawks’ probable starting goaltender Petr Mrzak. Mrzak allowed four goals in his last away start and has a 3.30 GAA over 10 away starts this season. Calgary forward Nazem Kadri has eight 1st period goals, and we can expect the Flames’ offense to attack the Chicago crease, and Mrzak will accommodate them.

Dan Vlader is expected to tend to the twine tonight for Calgary, and Vlader has allowed a dozen goals with a 4-1 record over his last five starts. He’ll meet a hapless Chicago offense with a league-worst 2.32 goals per game but has scored 16 goals over their previous five. Vlader should keep the puck out of his net, and the Flames will win the 1st period by at least a goal Thursday night.
