About Club Hawthorne Crestwood in IL
Club Hawthorne Crestwood opened in January 2021 as the first off-site betting facility run by the Hawthorne Race Course. While there is still a bar and dining area, you’ll also find a sports betting lounge, complete with leather captain’s chairs, surround sound, and a 163” TV screen to watch the games.
Under Illinois law, you must be at least 18 years old to bet on horse races and at least 21 to participate in sports gambling. However, people of any age are welcome in the building.

The partnership between Club Hawthorne Crestwood and Fanatics Sportsbook
Club Hawthorne Crestwood is able to offer sports betting because of a partnership with Fanatics Sportsbook Illinois. Originally, the partnership was with PointsBet Sportsbook, though Fanatics purchased the former’s North American betting licenses to expand into the gambling space.
Outside of gambling, Fanatics holds a virtual monopoly on sports memorabilia and merchandise. You’ll likely see sports gambling promotional offers involving discounted/free Fanatics’ apparel along with betting perks.
Beyond betting at Club Hawthorne Crestwood, you’ll also have the option to download the Fanatics Sportsbook mobile app.
Does Club Hawthorne Crestwood offer other kinds of gambling?
No, Club Hawthorne Crestwood does not offer other kinds of gambling beyond sports betting and off-track horse race betting. Doing so would violate the limitations of Club Hawthorne’s gambling license as a sports betting bar.
Unfortunately, if you’re looking for table games, slot machines, or poker rooms, you will need to find another place to gamble.
