Both teams are at the bottom of their respective division table, but Thursday is a good opportunity for each team to get their season back on track. Carolina is coming off a difficult home loss to Indianapolis, while Chicago is looking to end a two-game losing streak.

Panthers vs. Bears Betting Odds Analysis
Line shopping is important, but no more so than with this contest. The offshore books like Pinnacle and Betcris have better numbers but horrible odds. The US books have bad numbers but better prices, so it’s a must that we find the best value on both sides of the betting line.
BetRivers Illinois opened at Carolina +102, and that number rose sharply to +150. FanDuel offers -172 for the Bears moneyline after opening -125. The value is clearly on Carolina at BetRivers.
The offshore sportsbooks mostly have the Bears -3.0 (-123 or higher), and our Illinois sportsbooks have Bears -3.5 (-110). The -3.5 is a bad number, and hopefully, for Chicago bettors, the number dips ½ point, and maybe they keep the vig at -110.
For Over bettors, Fanduel has the best number (39.5, -115) after opening 41.5 (-110). The other Illinois sportsbooks have 40 (-110). The best number for the Under is Caesars (40), and they all have -110 for the Under.

Panthers vs. Bears Betting Best Bet
This is a difficult contest because these numbers are quite sharp, and neither team has performed very well on either side of the ball.
Chicago on the moneyline is probably the best bet, but paying $172 to win $100 for a team that failed to win the only other time they were moneyline favorites is too much to pay. You could go the other way and take Carolina +150 at Pointsbet, but the Panthers are 1-7 and 0-4-0 as the away team.
Our best bet for Thursday night is the Carolina Panther 1Q Moeyline (+122) at Caesars. The Panthers’ defense has surrendered 2.5 first-quarter points per game, while Chicago yields 5.2 points per first-quarter. Carolina surrenders too many points on the road, but the Chicago offense has difficulties scoring the football and averages just over a field goal per 1Q.
