College Basketball Best Bets
USC vs Alabama State 7:00 p.m. ET
USC is a -16.5 favorite to win this matchup, and they have dropped three straight and four of their last five. The Trojans really need a blowout win, and they will get one tonight. The Hornets have one of the worst offenses in the college game and are 0-3 against top-100 KenPom-ranked teams.
According to ShotQuality, the Hornets play far too much ISO ball, which won’t fare well against the taller, more experienced USC defense. -16.5 is a lot to cover on the road, but the Trojans would like nothing better than a victory before opening Pac-12 play next Thursday at Oregon, and I expect them to win by as many as 20 points tonight.

Morehead State vs Indiana
Morehead State is as many as a +13 point away underdog when they meet Indiana at Assembly Hall tonight. The Eagles are riding a five-game winning streak but are 0-2 against top-100 KenPom teams and 0-3 against any team with a pulse.
Morehead State has one of the highest turnover rates nationally and has terrible shooters from everywhere. Shotquality claims the Eagles are one of the worst teams nationally and 328th nationally at forcing turnovers.
Indiana has none of those issues. They’ve dropped two straight and probably should’ve upset Kansas this past Saturday, but they did cover the +7. The Hoosiers had a difficult couple of games, but they should be ready to roll tonight and cover the spread against smaller and less physical Morehead State

Mississippi vs Troy 7:00 p.m. ET
No. 25 ranked Mississippi hosts Troy tonight and is favored by as many as -12.5 points. The Rebels are undefeated and, according to ShotQuality, do the little things extremely well, like pass, attack the cup, knock down triples, and take care of the rock.
Troy does some things well, like attack the rim, make free throws, and snag a high percentage of offensive rebounds, but they don’t take care of the ball, can’t shoot a lick from inside the arc, and none of those things are going to help the Trojans to cover the spread tonight.
Best Bet: Mississippi -12 (-110) at Caesars Illinois
