Los Angeles Clippers vs. Chicago Bulls 8:00 pm

The Chicago Bulls are a +3.0 home underdog when they host the Clippers at United Center. The Bulls are +135 on the moneyline with a 228.5 total.

The Clippers will probably win this contest, but -154 is too much juice to pay, so we will take the Clippers to cover the -3.0 spread at -110 (Caesars).

Los Angeles is 4-1 ATS over their last five and rested Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in their Saturday night loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they should both suit up. That won’t bode well for Chicago, and they’ll have difficulty keeping these two from impacting both ends of the floor.

Chicago was 1-2 over their recent three-game road swing–they’ve won five of their last ten but scored 103 points per 100 possessions last week against bad defenses Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, and Indiana Pacers. The Bulls have struggled to score from downtown, and that’s not going to get it done against the Clippers.

Cleveland halted the Clippers’ five-game winning streak with George and Leonard on the pine. Still, Los Angeles averaged 135 points per 100 possessions during that streak, and they will continue this trend against the low-scoring and light-defending Bulls on Tuesday night.

Phil’s Best Bet: Los Angeles Clippers -3.0 -110 (Caesars)

Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Illinois Fighting Illini 7:00 pm

Nebraska is a -13.5 away underdog with a 135.5 total for this Big Ten matchup.

The Cornhuskers are sub .500, and they are looking to end a three-game losing streak they’ll have difficulty beating the Fighting Illini in their home. Nebraska is 2-7 ATS as the away side, facing an Illinois side with a 10-2 ATS record at home.

Nebraska is a lousy offensive team with below-average three-point shooters and doesn’t have the length or experience to hang with Illinois. The Fighting Illini struggle from downtown and the charity stripe but should win in a low-scoring affair.

Phil’s Best Bet: Illinois Under 135.5

UConn Huskies vs. DePaul Blue Devils 8:00 pm

No. 24 UConn Huskies are a -10 away favorite with a 146-point total when they face the DePaul Blue Demons.

The Huskies have dropped four of their last five, and they’ll have difficulty covering a 10-point spread. The Huskies should win this contest, but they are 2-4 ATS as the away side meets a Blue Devils side with a 7-4 ATS mark.

Huskies junior forward Adama Sonogo has failed to score his 16.9 average in four of his last five, and it’s no coincidence UConn is 1-4 over their last five. DePaul struggles to rebound–the Demon Deacons shoot well enough from downtown and the charity stripe to keep this close enough to cover the 10 points.

Phil’s Best Bet: Depaul +10
